Description
Plectranthus neochilus is one of the best-known Plectranthusspecies. Its glabrous, obovate leaves clearly distinguish it from most other species. Its strong, unmistakable smell (which we purposely don’t call “fragrance” here) actually makes it unmistakable. It (fortunately) only exudes this when the plant is touched or moved. It grows creeping or hanging freely and is therefore very suitable as a pot or hanging plant. In summer it can also be cultivated outside.
You will receive two vigorous cuttings with several pairs of leaves and already defoliated nodes for rooting. The cuttings are freshly cut and unrooted. They root quickly in water or directly in soil. When rooting in soil, please ensure increased humidity or controlled conditions.

The plant only needs to be watered moderately and should be allowed to dry superficially in between.
It can be fertilized once a month with cactus or succulent fertilizer. Please do not fertilize with too much nitrogen, as this could lead to giant growth. If you repott regularly, fertilization is usually not necessary. The plant should be pruned back a bit at the end of October so that it doesn’t wear itself out over the winter. Water less in winter and protect the plant from the dry radiator air. In spring, when the first growth activities start, water again moderately and repot if necessary.
